The First Three: Mount & Blade II Bannerlord

Hello there fellow gamer and people who accidentally clicked onto my blog, hopefully, you clumsy buggers give this article a read through and a like/share.
The first three are the first three hours of a video game; a review is based on those three hours. If a game can’t capture your imagination in the first three hours, then it might not be worth it.

I went on the good ole interwebs to figure out how to play this game, watching some tips and hints videos – the video below the person mentions that your first ten hours are spent dying and crying, the learning curve is real my readers. You know how the world continually tells us that patience is a virtue. It’s also the skill you’ll need to do well in this game.

When the game starts, you will need to create your character, word of advice – stewardship is a valuable skill, who would have thought? Apart from that, focus on your one-handed combat skills which you will need, trust me – you will need it! Shortly after the first mission, you will be able to enter arenas; I say enter those arenas and fight till your heart’s content – as an RPG player, the combat in this game is very different and will kill you, practice makes perfect.

This dude helped me a bit,

When you finally build an army and declare war on someone by raiding their settlement, do not fight a battle before saving the game – why? Because building an army is a very long and challenging task, and if you lose most of it in a battle, you will cry as I did – my poor men, me as their general – they never stood a chance.

At this point, you are wondering why I haven’t rated the game, well – the game is an acquired taste, I feel the realistic combat is cool but very hard to get used to, although if you persevere with the game, you can get better at it. The game is damn good! You will play, die and grind away – it is as if Medieval II Total War had sex with Skyrim and the child of that is this, the kid is a bit clunky, maybe slow to learn but it will grow into a successful person.

I hope to one day raise armies big enough to make a video like this,

Are you playing it? If so, then let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
